Origins: Mbozi District, Songwe (Southern Part of Tanzania)
Producer: Heyza AMCOS - Currently has 295 members across the Haraka, Hezya, and Izumbi villages in the Mbozi region.
Altitude: 1600m
Process: Fully Washed : After drying the washed coffee on raised beds for 9-10 days, the parchment coffee is then transported to the dry mill for storage & milling
Roast Level: Medium
Flavor Profile: Medium-bodied with black currant and raspberry notes, bright acidity with a tea finish
Cupping Notes: 6/2023 - Bright acidity was noticeable, no after taste (green tea finish), the raspberry/black currant tartness/aroma were prominent
Giving Back: Taylor Winch Tanzania granted the Hezya AMCOS a loan for a Coffee Production Unit (CPU) so that the AMCOS members can collectively wash process their harvested cherries.

Smallholders must be registered to an AMCOS to qualify for support in production, processing, storage, transport, marketing, and government aid. Tanzanian coffee harvests as much coffee as Kenya
